By blending the joy of stepping with a commitment to service and healthy living, we aim to inspire positive change and build lasting relationships that strengthen the fabric of our community. Together, we dance, we serve, and we thrive.
Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages can learn, express themselves, and connect through dance. We strive to empower our community by offering educational programs, workshops, and events that celebrate our culture, promote health and wellness, and encourage collaboration.

Founders
At Archway Steppers, our founders bring passion, experience, and a shared commitment to community. Greg Dixon, a Chicago native now based in Memphis, TN, has over 20 years of leadership in behavioral health, corrections, and juvenile programs, dedicated to restoration and empowerment. Lorenzo Louden, a proud Westside Chicago native and lifelong advocate for Chicago Style Stepping, founded Archway Steppers to unite people through culture and dance. Together, they inspire confidence, creativity, and connection—one step at a time.

Lorenzo Louden
Founder & CEO, Archway Steppers
A proud native of Chicago’s Westside, Lorenzo Louden founded Archway Steppers to preserve and promote the rich tradition of Chicago Style Stepping. With a deep love for clean fun, sharp fashion, and expressive movement, Lorenzo leads with passion and purpose—offering stepping classes to both youth and adults. Through Archway Steppers, he brings the community together to celebrate culture, confidence, and creativity—one step at a time.
Greg Dixon
Born in Chicago, IL; a native of Chicago, IL and Drew, MS. Greg has lived in Memphis, TN since 1997
Since 1993, Greg has been involved in Program Leadership for Juvenile Programs, Sheriff Department, Prison Re-entry and Fatherhood Programs. He was the former Manager-A for the COVID-19 Unit and Former Team Leader of the Fetal Infant Mortality Review Program at the Shelby County Government Health Department in Memphis TN. Greg received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Mississippi Valley State University and Master’s Degrees in both Health Service Administration and Public Administration from Strayer University. His bi-cultural background and focus is on community collaboration, juvenile restoration, domestic violence, child abuse and fatherhood initiative. This has led him to several volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. He is also a former Shelby County Division of Corrections 3R Project/Prison Re-entry Program Unit Manager and Shelby County Sheriff Sergeant for the Juvenile Division for Shelby County Sheriff Office. Mr. Dixon has over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, corrections and law enforcement, holds state and national certification as a Corrections Direct Supervision Trainer and a trained Correction Therapeutic Community Housing Unit Manager. He was recognized as one of Shelby County Division of Corrections staff by National Institute of Corrections as an adjunct trainer in 2008 – 2010. Also, Greg’s past time is working out, dancing, as well as a Chicago Style Stepping dance instructor for the Unique Steppers of Memphis. He volunteers with a domestic violence community organization providing the necessary assistance for the abused victims.
